Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, I found a passion and a love for human anatomy and kinesiology. I am fascinated with the idea of understanding the body and its mechanics to enhance the performance of a dancer. This led me to apply to the University of Florida's online master's program in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology.
WORKING AT OCU | AUGUST 2021-MAY 2022
I was given the opportunity to head back to my alma mater and begin working as a staff member doing administration work and occasionally stepping in for faculty members, teaching ballet, tap, and jazz. It was an exciting opportunity that allowed me to try my hand at teaching collegiately and interact with professors I respect immensly.
TEACHING FOR GROOVE | 2022
During the 2022 fall dance season, I traveled around the United States teaching students from ages 4-18. I interacted with many different teachers and dancers from the industry in a convention setting. I loved getting the opportunity to share my knowledge of dance and give back to my community.
